Attention Shoppers!

Password Change Required. The SASSIE platform has updated the security of SASSIE and updates have been made to password requirements. This change is designed to have minimal impact on existing users. Your password is now required to have a minimum number of characters, which is going from 8 to 12.

Troubles with logging in or submitting a report?

If you use the Chrome web browser and are experiencing any issues logging into your shop log, please try clearing your cache, and/or try another internet browser. Some shoppers have reported issues with navigating the site when using Chrome, and the issue appears to be isolated to that browser. If clearing yoru cache does not solve your issues, we recommend "Firefox".

What you'll do

Galls sells uniforms and gear to police and other agencies. Certain items are supposed to be sold only to verified law enforcement, and Galls hired us to check that their stores are enforcing it.

You'll go in as a normal customer and ask to buy a black t-shirt with “POLICE” printed on the back. Then you report what the associate did:

Did they ask for credentials? Did they decline the sale? Did they ring it up anyway?

You stop before paying either way. The shop is done the moment you have your answer.

 

Is this going to get me in trouble? No.

•  Galls commissioned this audit. Their corporate and regional teams know these visits happen.

•  You are never asked to say you're an officer or to show any credential. You're a regular shopper — that's the entire point of the test.

•  Being told no is a passing result for the store. You still get paid in full.

•  Uncomfortable at any point? Thank them, walk out, and note it on the form. You still get paid.

Before you ask

Do I need a reason for wanting the shirt?
The script gives you one. It's four lines and takes two minutes to read.

What if they say yes and try to sell it to me?
You decline at the register and leave. Nothing to buy, ever.

Can I do this if I'm law enforcement, or related to someone who is?
No — the test only works with a shopper who has no LE affiliation.

How long is the report?
Short online form, about 10 minutes. Due within 12 hours of your visit.

When do I get the script?
Immediately after you self-assign. It's attached to the shop in your dashboard.
